Dress of the Week: Monique Lhuillier’s “Catherine” Lace Wedding Gown with Sleeves
After a whirlwind of activity the past few days in Snohomish and Seattle, Washington (think 12-hour long days of photo shooting), we’re back home in SLC. Our fashion shoot was a dream come true: dream photographer, dream model, dream gowns, dream location. We can’t wait to share the images with you, but you’ll have to wait for our winter/spring 2012 issue to drop in January to see them!
In the meantime, I’m going to let you in on a little photo shoot secret…
When a FedEx truck arrived at our photo shoot one day with a package from “M. Lhuillier” we were as giddy as kids on Christmas morning. We tore open the large box–we already knew what was inside, but the excitement and anticipation was still killing us!–and we carefully lifted out the most beautiful long-sleeved lace gown any of us had ever laid eyes on: The gown was “Catherine” by Monique Lhuillier. (Can you guess which royal bride inspired the gown’s name?)
So this week, Mrs. Lhuillier’s dreamy design is our Dress of the Week. The gown is made of ivory re-embroidered and Chantilly lace, with long sleeves, a bateau neckline, natural waist, and hand-appliqued A-line skirt. An ivory tulle veil with lace appliques adds a final, stunning touch.
Just wait until you see the images of this gown from our fashion shoot–mark my words, they’ll knock the socks right off of your pedicured feet!
