Figuring out what to wear this time of year can be tricky. Summer’s not quite over, but fall hasn’t fully arrived. One minute it’s sunny and warm, the next minute it’s overcast and cool. For us gals, the obvious wardrobe solution for this transitional season is to dress in layers: throw a cardi or blazer over a tee or tank, or toss a scarf in your handbag.
But what’s a gal to do when it comes to wedding fashion between seasons? Can you apply layering to your bridal attire? Sure: Add a shrug, wrap, or cape to your strapless dress and you’ll keep chills at bay. Easy peasy! But, you could also choose a gown that offers the best of both worlds–strapless and sleeved–like this Justin Alexander Signature gown:
This strapless ballgown is fit for a princess during sunny daytime ceremonies. But come evening, when the sun sets and temps begin to drop, the gown transforms into a sleeved beauty thanks to a lace-like topper worn over the strapless bodice. This dress is perfect for late summer and fall weddings when the weather is unpredictable (especially in Park City and other mountain areas where the temps drop drastically come nightfall).
Smart and stylish, all in one lovely design. Now that’s what I call functional fashion!
