Yesterday we told you about Art Meets Fashion (AMF), an evening of local art and fashion in support of local causes. This year’s third annual AMF is on October 15 in SLC and benefits the YWCA of Salt Lake. You can read more about the event and buy tickets here.
All week we are spotlighting local AMF designers and artists, and today we are featuring local singer-songwriter Pablo Blaqk.
Ladies, prepare to swoon.
Singer-songwriter Blaqk first started strumming a guitar at age 18. Since then, he has shared the stage with musicians such as John Legend, and was asked to open for singer Adele on her 2011 North American tour. Blaqk recently released his debut album “Sons & Daughters” worldwide on iTunes and Amazon.
Listen to Blaqk’s hit song “Find Your Way,” and I think you’ll agree we can all thank the music gods for putting a guitar in his hands:
Are you swooning yet? Yeah, he’s good. The man can sing (and scribe make-you-weak-in-the-knees lyrics).
It’s not surprising that “Find Your Way” became a popular wedding song across the U.S. If you’ve been searching for a first dance song, ladies and gents, I think you just found your ditty.
With a tour in the works and his fan base at home and around the globe ever growing, it’s safe to say we’ve only seen (er, heard) the beginning of Blakq’s music career.
You can check out Pablo Blakq on October 15 at Art Meets Fashion (and maybe even book him for your big day). But until then, enjoy listening to his song, “Sweet Friend of Mine.” (Easy on the ears and eyes, eh?)
