If today’s post had a soundtrack, it would be Rhianna’s “Umbrella.” Why? Because we’re sharing a rainy day bridal/groomal session by Angie Andrews of Sweet Memory Garden Photography with you lovely readers today.
Now that it’s raining more than ever, know that we’ll still have each other, you can stand under my umbrella, ella elle, ay ay ay! Feel free to sing along to the lyrics…
Utah couple Raquel and Kyle had planned for sunny skies the day of their bride and groom portraits, but rain clouds rolled in shortly after they began their photo shoot. Rather than throw in the towel and call it a day, they braved the wet weather. A parasol came to their rescue as they posed for pictures in the canyons and at the Great Salt Lake. A dramatic pink and purple sunset provided a beautiful backdrop at the end of the stormy day.
Brides and grooms, let Raquel and Kyle’s experience be a lesson: Don’t let a little rain ruin your bridals, groomals, or your wedding day. Grab a cute umbrella or parasol, fun rain boots, or even a stylish trench coat, and make the most of the stormy weather!
Raquel and Kyle were married August 15, 2011, at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, and held their reception at the Eaglewood Golf Course. Congratulations!
Thank you Angie Andrews of Sweet Memory Garden for sharing this bridal/groomal session with us today!
