It’s been awhile since we’ve shared a “Jewelry Box” post, so we’re starting the week off with something sparkly and lovely from Salt Lake City’s O.C. Tanner.
Last Thursday, I was lucky enough to attend O.C. Tanner’s holiday party at their flagship downtown SLC store. It was quite the glamorous affair–a throwback to a more elegant era. Guests enjoyed shrimp cocktails, Champagne, and martinis from a “luge” ice bar. Men dressed in white jackets and bow ties and women draped in fur coats and black cocktail dresses admired glittering baubles from shiny jewelry cases perched throughout the historic three-story building.
While wandering among the assortment of dazzling diamonds and stunning sapphires, a new line of jewelry caught my eye: Georland, a Paris-based collection making its local debut at O.C. Tanner that very evening.
Founded in 1954 by Georges Richard and Roland Bouder (“Geor” + “land” = Georland), the fine jewelry business has been helmed by three generations of the Marteau family.
Georland’s unique, sophisticated pieces are ideal for special occasions, and perfectly suited for weddings. Two of Georland’s collections in particular stand out for brides-to-be: the Silk Road collection and the Infinity collection.
First, the Silk Road collection features diamond and gemstone rings, cuffs, earrings, and necklaces crafted of gold and white gold in lace-like patterns that “cover the skin like a sparkly lacy veil.”

Madiva ring in amethyst
Pieces from the Silk Road collection are surprisingly affordable considering their fine craftsmanship and one-of-a-kind look–rings start at just $600.
Second, the Infinity collection features statement-making diamond necklaces, earrings, and rings in white gold and pink gold.

Petillante pendant in white gold with diamonds
Divine ring in pink gold with diamonds
Don’t these pieces just take your breath away?
You can view the entire Georland collection in person–and try these stunners on!–at O.C. Tanner: 15 South State Street, SLC, 801-532-3222.
