Live From New York Bridal Market: Modern Trousseau

Editor’s Note: This is a guest post from Lenni Stratton of Alta Moda Bridal and Lily & Iris. Lenni is blogging for us live from Bridal Fashion Week in NYC!

We started our morning off with a trip to see one of our favorite U.S.-made designers, Modern Trousseau. First to their showroom, located in the heart of the New York City garment district, we got an early morning first-look at their amazing new collection.

A Connecticut-based designer well known at Alta Moda Bridal for their beautiful lace wedding dresses and unique details, Modern Trousseau was a huge priority for us at New York Bridal Market this season. We couldn’t wait to see what lovely creations designer Cali Tien had come up with for the new collection.

Highlights of the show included re-embroidered Chantilly lace, pleated Italian net, petal-edged cotton lace, and gorgeously soft tulle.

A few of our favorite gowns…

Nova, a Cinderella-blue satin gown with crystal brooch at the waist and tulle overskirt.

Dove, a grey pinstripe corset gown with lace overlay. The back features a sheer lace insert and pinstripe tails.

Eden, a Chantilly lace sheath re-embroidered with blush chiffon with blush ruched sash.

Cassidy, a soft cotton lace sheath with sweetheart neckline.

We can’t wait to have some of these gorgeous new wedding gowns back at the shop in Salt Lake City to share with all of our amazing brides!

To see even more gowns from Modern Trousseau, be sure to check out Alta Moda Bridal’s website, and keep up with us at market on Twitter and Facebook
