Halloween has come and gone, but sugar season is just getting started. (Really, does sugar season ever end in Utah?) Having mowed down on a multitude of fun-size candy bars, ghoul-shaped gummies, and dinky suckers last week, we were reminded that not all candy is created equal. You’d never dream of passing out the same goodies you give trick or treaters to your wedding guests, right? For a wedding, it’s all about the quality of the candy and how it’s presented.
Enter ShugLove, a Salt Lake City-based company and creators of “la petite bouteille de bonbon” (the little bottle of candy). The collection of dainty sweets includes gourmet gummy bears, luxe amandes, bon bon de crystal, licorice pastels, strawberry meringue puffs, sucré lemon, cherry, and root beer drops, and more. The candies are housed in darling little glass bottles finished with chic ShugLove tags.
ShugLove’s petite bonbons make darling (and no-brainer) wedding or shower favors. The candies come in a rainbow of hues, from juicy red to delicate lavender, so you can match the bonbons to any color palette. We also like the idea of lining up color coordinated Shuglove candy jars on your reception’s dessert buffet or candy bar, like we did for the sweet black-and-white-themed spread in our current issue’s Desserts feature.
