Spring Bride & Groom Formals in Park City by Travis J Photography

Living in Utah, you learn quickly that the weather here is schizo. Take this “spring” for example: breezy mid-70’s days, near freezing temps at night in the mountains, snow on Memorial Day–doesn’t seem all that spring-y if you ask me.

For spring brides and grooms, the bipolar weather patterns can cause serious stress. But, sometimes, hoping for sun and getting showers (or snow!) instead, can result in something even more beautiful than you’d originally planned. Take, for example, Caitlin and Sam’s bride and groom formal shoot in Park City by Travis J Photography. Travis explains…

Caitlin was so worried it would snow on the day of her formals, but fortunately not one flake had dropped all day. As Caitlin and Sam were making their way up the canyon to Park City, Caitlin realized she forgot her bouquet and they had to turn around. As luck would have it, by the time they arrived it started to snow as the first picture was taken. But, I think the light snow gave these pictures a soft romantic feel.

I couldn’t agree more. The light dusting of snow created a dreamy setting for Caitlin and Sam’s formals. See for yourselves…

Beautiful, no?

Love these next two images…

Aren’t Caitlin and Sam are a handsome duo? Caitlin found her 3/4 sleeve lace gown at The Brides’ Shop in Salt Lake City; her bouquet of white hydrangea was made by Maron Giggey. Sam stepped things up in a a navy blue suit–and cream pocket square!–from Nordstrom. (If you like Sam’s smart suit, check out this post on Beckett & Robb’s bespoke suits.)

Congratulations Caitlin and Sam! Thank you Travis J Photography for sharing these formals!
