Dress of the Week: ‘Brigitte’ Short Sheath Dress by Modest Couture by Elizabeth

This Wednesday’s Dress of the Week–‘Brigitte’–is extra special because the frock is designed and handsewn by a local dressmaker: Betsy Barker, owner of Modest Couture by Elizabeth.

What is it about ‘Brigitte’ we love so much? For starters, her short hemline, sheath shape, and chic 1960’s silhouette. Then there’s also her elbow-length sleeves, deep v-back, and gleaming Swarovski crystal-encrusted neckline.

Barker custom designs all of her wedding dresses–popular with brides in Utah, California, and Texas–and creates custom hats, fascinators, headbands, and other bridal accessories.

If you’re looking for a custom wedding gown, a wedding gown with sleeves, a wedding gown with a short hemline, or a wedding gown with a retro silhouette–like lovely Ms. ‘Brigitte’–be sure to check out Salt Lake City-based Modest Couture by Elizabeth.
