In the Boud: Valentine’s Day Boudoir Sessions from Jacque Lynn Photography

Happy Friday, friends!

Now that we’re in the month of February, the countdown to Valentine’s Day is on, and we have a sexy + sweet gift idea for all you gals (trust us, it’s way better than giving your main squeeze a Hallmark card): a boudoir session with Jacque Lynn Photography.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Jacque Lynn is offering a special boudoir photography package. The $450 package includes:

  • 1 hour boudoir session (approx 3 different “looks”)
  • Disc of fully edited images
  • 5×7 Little Black Book album

Jacque shares a few details about her boudoir sessions:

Boudoir does NOT have to be trashy. My goal is to create a classic, sexy, and modern image that will showcase you at your best. The location for the boudoir session can be super simple. I generally can come to your house as long as you have a nice big window, a cool bed, or a great chair of some sort. If not, I can suggest alternatives. I recommend stopping by the MAC counter for a makeup application before your boudoir session–those girls know how to do a beauty look that is specific for this kind of photo. And last, but not least, the session is meant to be fun! Let loose and make it yours.

Not sure boudoir is right for you? Lenni, the beautiful bride pictured in the boudoir images featured in today’s post (and the manager of Lily & Iris in SLC), shares the details of her own boudoir session with Jacque Lynn Photography, and why she chose to pose:

I chose to do a boudoir session because I had seen some gorgeous boudoir sessions, and thought, “I want pictures of ME looking that amazing!” My one-year wedding anniversary was coming up, and I thought a boudoir session would make the perfect gift for my husband. But to be honest, I think I got more out of the shoot than he did. It was such a wonderful expression of my own beauty, and really made me feel gorgeous in a way I never had before.

For my session, I wanted something classy, something simple, and I mostly just wanted to look (and feel) amazing. My boudoir session was more about capturing beautiful images of me than is was about taking sexy pictures. And Jacque did an AMAZING job! I felt totally comfortable during the entire shoot, and was absolutely thrilled with the results. I was in shock when I first saw the photos, thinking “These are really pictures of ME?!” It was so hard to keep them a secret from my hubby, but I pulled it off and the look on his face when he opened the gorgeous leather photo album was totally worth it! Now I joke with him that I’m going to put up an over-sized print of my favorite photo from the boudoir session in his office–I haven’t made good on that promise yet, but there’s still time!

So, are you ready to strike a pose? Because Valentine’s Day is just a week away, boudoir sessions will need to be completed by February 8th in order to receive your Little Black Book album by February 14th.

Thank you Jacque and Lenni! Happy weekend, lovelies!
