Sneak Peek: Spring 2013 Bridal Collections
The Spring 2013 Bridal Market kicks off Friday with designers showing their newest wedding dresses throughout the weekend and on Monday in New York City. What will this season’s runway shows bring? What new bridal fashion trends will emerge? Hilary Anderson, owner of Salt Lake City’s Alta Moda Bridal, is currently in the Big Apple attending runway shows and meeting with designers, and she’ll be sharing a full fashion report with us when she returns!
We spotted some designers’ Spring 2013 Runway Sneak Peeks on Brides.com and thought we’d share a few of the beautiful sketches that have us giddy with excitement!
Lela Rose: We can always count on Lela Rose to design dresses that are elegant and beautiful in a sophisticated, understated kind of way. For her spring 2013 collection, it appears the designer will continue the trend of illusion and sheer necklines, and modern lace and embroidery details, both popular during the fall 2012 bridal fashion shows.
Elizabeth Fillmore: We love the soft, delicate, romantic dresses designed by Elizabeth Fillmore. Her creations are sexy and alluring in subtle ways. Case in point: The illusion back of this slinky sheath dress.
Watters: For brides that want the look of a big dress without the hassle of a big dress (i.e. heavy to wear and hard to walk in), it looks like Watters has a dreamed up a lovely solution: a gown with a princess-looking silhouette but the freedom and ease of a free-floating hemline.
Ivy & Aster: French is the language of love, so it’s no surprise the design team at Ivy & Aster was inspired by chic French style when sketching this dress. You can’t tell from the illustration, but according to Brides.com this dress will be made of pale silver chiffon (!!!) and features billowing sheer sleeves and a plunging back. J’aime.
Which of these sketches has you most excited? Is there a designer whose new collection you’re dying to see? Stay tuned to see some of our favorite new designs and trends from the Spring 2013 Bridal Collections!
