Tabletop: Spot On
Select smaller, more delicate polka dots for a refined and polished look. A black-and-white color palette accented with shades of soft pink fits the setting’s elegant aesthetic.
Forgoing big, bold spots in favor of tiny, dainty dots, Megan Bailey of Pink Piggy Design and Audrey O’Brien of Studio Stems teamed up to create this sophisticated polka-dot table setting. “We wanted to show brides how selecting a smaller, more delicate dot creates a refined and polished look,” says Bailey. In keeping with an elegant aesthetic, the duo—also co-owners of Utah Bride Blog—chose a traditional black-and-white color palette accented with shades of soft pink. They advise that less is more when it comes to seeing spots and recommend incorporating the pattern in striking but minimal ways: custom place cards and menus printed with a flirty font on shimmer paper; white chocolate cake pops tied with custom tags; custom polka dot pillow favor boxes with blush pink monogram band wraps. A strapless sweetheart twist-bodice dress with multiple layers of dotted Swiss tulle is a subtle and stylish way to represent the theme in your bridal attire. Large black bowls atop silver candlesticks act as vessels for full arrangements of anemones, hydrangea, roses, ranunculus, veronica, and dusty miller.
