We’re suckers for anything salty and sweet, so when we were first introduced to Sweet Janes’ chocolate-dipped sea salt caramels at a girlfriend’s party a few months back, we were instantly smitten. Sugary, caramely, and chocolatey, with just a hint of sea salt—it was love at first bite.
The dark and milk chocolate caramels are made by Salt Lake City’s Alexis Waters. We wrangled Waters into whipping up some caramels—and scrumptious caramel apples—for the Desserts feature in our upcoming winter/spring 2013 issue (on newsstands in early January—mark your calendars!).
Sweet Janes’ treats make tasty wedding favors and gifts for guests at bridal showers or other pre-nuptial parties. Custom orders are available, and the chocolate caramels can be dipped and packaged to match your wedding colors. (And with Christmas just two weeks away, they’re not a bad stocking stuffer idea, either!)
