Party Like a Frock Star: The Brides’ Shop Preview Party

On Friday evening we found ourselves immersed in a sea of silk chiffon, tulle, and lace at The Brides’ Shop in downtown Salt Lake City. The occasion? The shop’s first Preview Party, where we got a first look at their new bridal collections. We were in for a treat: Owner Robyn Dunn and manager Amanda Ivory gave us a tour of the renovated space–located on historic South Temple street–as models displayed dresses by the likes of Sarah Seven, Justin Alexander, and Lis Simon, as well as custom designs and styles exclusive to The Brides’ Shop.

We were especially smitten with the array of Sarah Seven dresses–including a silk chiffon dress in taupe with a lace-accented sweetheart bodice, a silk chiffon frock in ivory topped with a lace bodice, a slinky silver number with elbow-length sleeves, and a glimmering gold spun-sugar-like gown.

A custom lace dress featuring elbow-length sleeves and a removable pearl Peter Pan collar, exclusively designed for The Brides’ Shop, was another knockout.

Most of The Brides’ Shop dresses are priced less than $2,800, with a handful of gorgeous styles ringing in well under $1,000. The price tag for a strapless apricot-hued style accented with silver floral appliques is $700, while a short and sweet white lace reception dress is just $300. If you thought you couldn’t afford a reception dress, think again!

Ladies, make an appointment at The Brides’ Shop to see these dresses up close and personal–call 801-322-4324.

Thank you Robyn and Amanda for a wonderful evening!
