From the Runway: Monique Lhuillier Spring 2014 Bridal Collection
Gorgeous gowns, chic cover-ups, and fancy footwear are a feast for the eyes
If the wedding world had a super hero, the caped crusader would undoubtedly be Monique Lhuillier (and her cape would be made of satin or lace, natch). Season after season, the designer uses her powers to create out-of-this-world wedding gowns, and her new Spring 2014 collection was nothing short of a feast for the eyes. Lhuillier’s runway at Bridal Fashion Week was rich with silk crepe, embroidered tulle, organza, and chantilly and guipure lace gowns, paired with chic boleros, capelets, and jackets. We especially love the array of short, swingy dresses and ladylike coats, which are just begging to be worn to a city hall wedding. For the second season, Lhuillier included fancy footwear with her bridal offerings–the neutral-hued satin pumps and lace sandals are right on trend.
Every gown in the collection is so gorgeous, it’s nearly impossible to pick a favorite. We fell head over heels for styles Jackie, Tatiana, Estelle, and Celestial. Which styles are you falling for?
