Now Open: Alta Moda Bridal’s Swanky New SLC Boutique

Your first look at the bridal shop's bigger, more beautiful downtown space

On Tuesday night, Alta Moda Bridal hosted their annual holiday party and the grand opening celebration of their swanky new downtown digs! The bridal boutique recently moved from their location near Trolley Square to a bigger, more beautiful space at 536 East 300 South in downtown Salt Lake City.

The evening’s festivities included delicious bites from Brown Brothers Catering, bar service by Bacchus Event Services, tunes by Life of the Party Entertainment, a shimmering photo booth backdrop from ShutterBooth Utah, and a runway show highlighting some of Alta Moda’s most stunning wedding dresses (and one sequined jumpsuit that we fell hard for).

Designers on display included Anne BargeIvy & Aster, Jenny Packham, Liancarlo, Modern Trousseau, Monique Lhuillier, Rivini and Theia. The ladies of Versa Artistry provided hair and makeup for the models; we dug the messy side braids, modern updos, and berry-stained lips. Urban Chateau Floral created gorgeous, wintery floral crowns and hair pieces, as well as elegant arrangements displayed throughout the shop.

Alta Moda’s new spread features 25 percent more space to accommodate brides and the boutique’s curated selection of designer wedding dresses. Highlights of the new shop include large windows, central fitting rooms, a giant floor-to-ceiling mirror (all the better to admire yourself in), and a pine plank 13-foot tall ceiling.

In remodeling the digs, located in a building from the 1960s, Alta Moda Bridal owners Hilary Anderson and Justin Goodson maintained the structure’s mid-centry modern aesthetic—three sputnik chandeliers greeting you at the entrance are a nod to the era’s mod style—and they kept some of the building’s original design elements in place, including the entry’s sleek floating stone staircase.

The walls inside the shop are painted blue, but it was important to Anderson and Goodson to include some “green” elements in the redesign, too. The fitting rooms and office walls were constructed, in part, from wood reused and acquired during earlier building demolition, and they installed 25-percent post-consumer recycled carpet and indoor and outdoor LED lights.

Brides, make an appointment to visit the chic new space and shop for your dream dress.
