Save the Date: Provo Fashion Week
Runways shows and pop-up shops take Utah County by storm October 10 & 11
WHAT: The Big Apple has New York Fashion Week, the City of Light has Paris Fashion Week, and now Happy Valley has Provo Fashion Week. The city south of Salt Lake is getting in on autumn’s style action by hosting two days of runway shows and pop-up shops showcasing the
sartorial skills of local designers.
If the words fashion and Provo seem as unlikely a pairing as donut and diet, consider this: The event boasts clothing and accessories from 23 Utah designers, 300-plus models, and an expected crowd of more than 1,400 folks. (Last spring’s inaugural PFW festivities drew more than 800 attendees.) In other words, it’s legit. *See the low-back, dip-dyed fringe number by Brandon Perry below for further proof.
Established designers include Natalie Workman, Bree Wilkins (both are producers of PFW), Janay Robison, Franklynn Stott, Nephi Garcia, Brandon Perry, Rebecca Richards, Talissa Meza, Julie Nguyen, Lauren Mellor, and big-day favorites Beckett & Robb, Chantel Galloway of Chantel Lauren Designs, and Mary Rino of Lily Bride Designs. Check out snapshots from last spring’s runway show below.
