Happy February! It seems only appropriate that we kick off the month of amor by spotlighting a recently engaged duo and their cute downtown Salt Lake City engagement session.
I first met the bride-to-be, Jenni, a handful of years ago when we were both working at the same media outlet; we quickly bonded over our mutual love of cats, wine, and anything leopard print. She and her fiancé, Aaron, fell for each other while they were both working and living in the heart of the city, so it only made sense that they’d return to their old stomping grounds for their engagement shoot. They hired photographer Mike Sadowski, the man behind SLC Photo Project, to capture them as they strolled through the streets revisiting some of their favorite haunts.
Below, take a peek at Jenni and Aaron’s photos and read more about the couple, the proposal, and their upcoming wedding. Congrats you two!

HOW THEY MET While working together at KUTV 2 News Utah. They’d talk about movies and ’80s music during newscasts and she’d volunteer to work night shifts in order to spend more time with him.
WHERE HE PROPOSED In her parents’ backyard in Park City after a day of hiking and biking; her family joined them the following day to celebrate.
THE RING A gold band with two rows of diamonds; it matches a ring her mom always wears on her right hand.
ENGAGEMENT PHOTO INSPIRATION Downtown Salt Lake City is special to the couple because they met while working downtown and at the time they were both living in the neighborhood; their first dates were spent wandering Main Street, going to movies at the Broadway Theater, and trying new restaurants. They wanted to capture the first two years of their relationship in the photos.
WEDDING DETAILS They are tying the knot at the Sky Lodge in Park City on September 12, 2015 in a simply styled celebration, complete with a neutral palette of gray and cream, hints of brown paper, and succulents.
