WHERE THEY MET At a party through mutual friends; they fell in love almost instantly HOW HE PROPOSED On an ATV ride into the middle of a grove of trees in southern Utah WEDDING WEATHER A stormy downpour and windy, but it cleared an hour before the outdoor ceremony NUMBER OF GUESTS 100 WEDDING STYLE Fun and timeless with elements of both of them sprinkled throughout the evening. COLORS Neutrals SPLURGES Food and gifts; they wanted their guests to know how much they appreciated their support and presence. FAMILY ELEMENTS The groom’s family sings a roasting-style song at every family wedding. The bride wore her late grandmother’s necklace, a detail that was special to her. WARDROBE DETAILS It was important for them to include their son as much as possible, so they had custom, identical tuxes made for both him and the groom. The bride designed her dream dress and her aunt made it for her in less than three weeks. HOW THEY MADE THE DAY THEIR OWN She surprised him with a fountain soda machine serving only Mountain Dew, and he sang to her, which was one of the day’s sweetest moments.
